On 1 September, Tine Kjølsen takes up the position as acting rector of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design. Tine Kjølsen has many years of experience from the School and now heads the School of Design until a new joint rector can be appointed for the post-merger school.
Tine Kjølsen has many years of experience as head of centre and head of education at the Danish Design School. She originally graduated as a graphic designer from The Danish School of Art and Design and also holds an MA in Educational and Professional Development (2004). She was formerly head of the Centre for Communication Design and has taught at The School of Design since 1993. Since 2006 she has been a member of the school’s management team and involved in developing the school’s strategy and education programmes.

New pro-rector: Jens Overbye
Also on 1 September, Jens Overbye is appointed pro-rector of the School of Design. He is currently head of the Centre for Furniture, Spatial and Industrial Design and of the Centre for Glass and Ceramics at the School of Design in Copenhagen.
