In or Out: Are trends going out of fashion?

Have you ever wondered, why all the stores are suddenly full of leopard print? Why the lumberjack shirt, which was neatly put to rest with grunge, has returned from the fashion cemetery to haunt us again? Or whether trends might change so quickly, that they will end up tripping themselves?

If you have, then you might want to stop by The Danish Design School on May 19 2009 and take part in the seminar: “In or Out: Are Trends Going out of Fashion?” Meet four of the greatest international names in the world of trends and hear what they have to say about, why trends behave the way they do.

  • Senior research fellow, Joanne Entwistle, London College of Fashion
  • Professor Stanley Lieberson, Harvard University
  • Trend researcher Ingrid Giertz-Mårtenson, Swedish Vision
  • Publisher Malene Malling, Malling Publications

The event is free and open for everyone regardless of gender, age, and taste in clothes. The seminar is part of the lecture series New Perspectives in Fashion Research and is organized by MOKO (www.moko.dk).
