The School of Design and Danish Faces presents: Open lecture with Richard Kegler, senior partner and founder of P22. September 12th.
Richard Kegler is the founding partner of P22 type foundry, Buffalo NY, USA. Kegler’s background in typography and book arts includes ventures in bookbinding and letterpress printing. However, the historical context and background of type continue to be his greatest interest and shape the evolution of P22. He is also the founder of the Western New York Book Arts Collaborative.
Kegler will show the fascinating design documentary "Making Faces:Metal Type in the 21st Century" - A film by Richard Kegler. The documentary captures the personality and work process of the late Canadian graphic artist Jim Rimmer (1931-2010): http://www.p22.com/products/makingfaces.html
