Sustainable fashion show on the agenda



PLEASE NOTICE NEW DATE! Center for Responsible Design, a co-operation between The Danish Design School, TEKO, BEC Design, Copenhagen University College of Engineering (IHK) and Copenhagen Business School (CBS), is arranging a sustainable fashion show.


The fashion show "Innovating Sustainable Fashion", which is arranged by Center for Responsible Design in cooperation with CPH Vision/Terminal-2 and Designers' Nest, places focus on CSR combined with fashion and design. The show takes place on Wednesday 2 December 2009 during the Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, and constitutes to the climax of the design contest "Innovating Sustainable Fashion", which serves the purpose to put sustainable fashion on top of the fashion industry's agenda and present the potential that young designers from the Danish design schools make up in this line of trade.

20 concepts will be presented and the judging panel will judge the young designers upon their ability to unite CSR and fashion into an innovative design where story-telling and concept are key.

Committee of judges:
  • Christian Stadil - owner & founder of the brand Hummel
  • Tina Casmose - fashion designer and owner of the company "Tina Casmose"
  • Martin Fluri - sociologist and founder of "vuggetilvugge.dk"
  • Josefin Lassbo - fashion designer and owner of Reflective Circle
  • Maria Høgh - fashion designer and owner of the company Aymara.

Following the fashion show the nominated designs will be displayed at Dansk Design Center, offering guests, press and fashion professionals the opportunity to take a closer look at the students' creations. The first exhibition will open immediately after the show, followed by a second exhibition that will be held in conjunction to Copenhagen Fashion Week in February 2010 - both events held at the beautiful Terminal-2 and arranged by Center for Responsible Design in cooperation with CPH Vision/Terminal-2 & Designers' Nest.

Tickets for the show can be bought at www.ebillet.dk. Seating tickets cost 120 DKK while standing tickets cost 60 DKK. The hall can seat 300 people and so far there is an unlimited number of standing tickets.

The show will take place at Terminal-2 situated at: Otto Busses Vej 5A, 2450 Copenhagen.
The doors will open at 20.30 and the show starts at 21.00.
