Copenhagen Fashion Week SS11 kicks off with the new designers from The Danish Design School

Newly graduated designers from The Danish Design School take a leap into the fashion industry at the very first days of Copenhagen Fashion Week SS11. Meet the new designers af the Graduate Show 2010, Øksnehallen Building 55, Wednesday August 11th 2010

Get a first peak at the collections and let yourself be enchanted by the fantastic universes created by the new design talents from The Danish Design School. This year’s Graduate Show will bring seven fabulous graduation collections to the catwalk. The collections will be full of experimental garment designs that challenge fabrics and other materials in an edgy take on fashion. Building 55 will set the scene for the Graduate Show on Wednesday August 11th

We are shaping the next generation who will strengthen Danish fashion as brand, as concept and as material in the years to come. The designers and students from The Danish Design School document an overwhelming will to create new paths which lead them to the London fashion scene, trade fairs in China and top placements in international design competitions. Poetic collections

In this year’s fashion show a poetic Scandinavian style with mysterious undertones runs through the different graduate collections. 8 bachelor students have also been invited to show their bachelor projects on the catwalk illustrating the diversity to be found amongst the fashion students of The Danish Design School. The fashion show is a forerunner to the Graduation Exhibition at Carlsberg where graduate projects from the entire school will be on show.
