Danish Design Lovers – Students promote Danish Design in Milan

Danish Design and The Danish Design School is widely represented during Milan Design Week, where you can experience both the tradition and the new generation.

To include the young generation of up-coming designers, DANISH DESIGN LOVE increases to plural. DANISH DESIGN LOVERS consists of 23 design students who in more unconventional ways will create awareness about the Danish design activities in Milan. They will serve as young "ambassadors" for Danish Design and working in closely with the Danish exhibitors and blogging on the website. Look for the decorated bus that will serve as a mobile office for DANISH DESIGN LOVERS, moving around between the Danish activities in Milan.

The Cappellini showcase
Student Martin Vallin from The Danish Design School is attending Milan to exhibit and work with the Italian design company Cappellini. Martin was spottet by Cappellini at The Stockholm Furniture Fair and will now work with Cappellini to design and complete his project: "The Secret Club House".

"My inspiration was the three house you built in the summer as a child, your own hide away where you could be anyone you wanted, and only the invited could enter the club house. When you build a club house you take what you find and this is mimicked in the purposely simple way it is made".
