Graduation Exhibition 2011

Meet 80 recently graduated designers and 19 craftspeople ready to head into the world. The Danish Design School’s Graduation Exhibition 2011 opens at Holmen on 5 August.

Graduation Exhibition 2011 presents this year’s design and craft graduates side by side in The Danish Design School’s new setting at Holmen. The exhibition opens on Friday, 5 August, introducing a strong field with new ideas about design with the capacity to affect our lives now and in the future.

Creative raw material

”Again this year, it is our pleasures to invite the public in to see Denmark’s creative raw material. We have assembled 100 curious, playful and thought-provoking projects. The exhibition illustrates how design can provide answers, surprises and new social, poetic and sustainable solutions. Denmark’s future livelihood relies on the many new solutions to pollution, consumption and business plans. But many other questions and answers remain to be explored, and this year, we present the full range. Seize this opportunity and meet the new profiles and their projects.”

The exhibition presents the full scope of design education: Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Ceramics Design, Furniture and Spatial Design, ProductionDesign, Game and Interaction Design, Textile Design and Visual Communication and - as something new in 2011: a class of freshly graduated craftspeople from The Danish Design School, Bornholm. Graduation 2011 is the first graduation exhibition to be presented in The Danish Design School’s new location at Holmen.
