TRAVEL

From the Airport to the Central Station (Hovedbanegården)

Copenhagen Airport > The Danish Design School
Total Travel Time: about 50 minutes.

  • Take the metro (MET M2) from Copenhagen Airport towards Vanløse
  • Get off at Nørreport station
  • Walk from the metro station to the S-tog Station - you will see directions on the metro platform
  • From Nørreport station you can take any of the following S-tog trains (The S-tog is the local train system covering the region of Copenhagen): S-tog E towards Hillerød, S-tog C towards Hellerup, S-tog A towards Harreskov, or S-tog B towards Holte
  • Get off at Nordhavn Station
  • After getting off the S-tog, walk down the stairs and take a left on to Østbanegade
  • Shortly afterwards take a right on to Nordre Frihavnsgade
  • Walk about 200 meters and at the traffic light take a left on to Strandboulevarden
  • Walk about 100 meters and you will see the Danish Design School on the right hand side of Strandboulevarden.

Nordhavn Station > The Danish Design School
Total Travel Time: about 5 minutes walk

  • Standing with Nordhavn S-tog station behind you, walk left along Østbanegade
  • Shortly afterwards take a right on to Nordre Frihavnsgade
  • Walk about 200 meters, in the light take a left on Strandboulevarden
  • Walk about 100 meters and you will see the Danish Design School on the right hand side of Strandboulevarden.

Adina Apartment Hotel Copenhagen > The Danish Design School
Total Travel Time: about 15 minutes walk

  • Standing with the Hotel behind you, facing the railway (West), walk towards the railway till you reach a major road, Kalkbrænderihavnsgade.
  • Turn right and follow the railway (Northward) till you reach the footbridge.
  • Cross the road via the bridge.
  • Take the pedestrian passage under the railway. (Not visible in the automated pathfinder at "Krak.dk Ruteplan"!)
  • Continue straight ahead along Nordre Frihavnsgade.
  • Walk about 200 metres, then turn left on to Strandboulevarden.
  • Walk about 100 meters and you will see the Danish Design School on the right hand side of Strandboulevarden.

Nørreport Station > The Danish Design School
Total travel time: about 20 minutes

  • From Nørreport station you can take any of the following S-tog trains (The S-tog is the local train system covering the region of Copenhagen): S-tog E towards Hillerød, S-tog C towards Hellerup, S-tog A towards Harreskov, or S-tog B towards Holte
  • Get off at Nordhavn Station
  • After getting off the S-tog, walk down the stairs and take a left on to Østbanegade
  • Shortly afterwards take a right on to Nordre Frihavnsgade
  • Walk about 200 meters and at the traffic light take a left on to Strandboulevarden
  • Walk about 100 meters and you will see the Danish Design School on the right hand side of Strandboulevarden.

Copenhagen Central Station (Københavns Hovedbanegård) > The Danish Design School
Total Travel Time: about 30 minutes.

  • At Copenhagen Central Station take the S-tog E towards Hillerød, S-tog C towards Hellerup, S-tog A towards Harreskov, or S-tog B towards Holte. (The S-tog is the local trains covering the region of Copenhagen). The S-trains leave from Tracks 9 to 12
  • Get off at Nordhavn Station
  • Getting of the S-tog walk down the stairs and take a left on Østbanegade
  • Shortly afterwards take a right on Nordre Frihavnsgade
  • Walk about 200 meters, in the light take a left on Strandboulevarden
  • Walk about 100 meters - the Danish Design School is on the right hand side of Strandboulevarden.

Bus Connections
There are a few bus stops close to The Danish Design School. However, coming from Copenhagen Airport, Nørreport or the Central Station it is faster to travel by metro and train. Bus number 40, stops right outside The Danish Design School campus on Strandboulevarden.
