Thesis Project
Medical Packaging for all
Working with visionary approaches from the terms ‘universal design’ and ‘design for all’ I have looked at pill containers from the perspectives of the work environment of nurses.
And there are many things that need to be improved; in public healthcare pill containers and cardboard blisters packages troubles the efficiency in opening and dosing medicine. In the general public most people experience pitfalls when opening both types of packaging. This brings me to ask the question:
Why is medical packaging not designed for the people who use it?
My vision is to create a new type of packaging for pills that offer a safer, quicker and easier usage.
At the moment the concept is now in the hands of one of the major players in pharmaceutical packaging in Scandinavian. Therefore, the concept is only show with NDA to insure my industry partners.
