Denmark’s Design School - Industriel Design 2009
Final project
Urban Mobility – In a European context
Description
A concept for public transportation in large European cities. This project consists of 2 products, a system scenario for large European cities 30 years in the future, and a vehicle design based on this system
Public transport today I feel is lacking in both efficiency, integration into the European city context and consideration for both users of the vehicles and the city such as pedestrians and bicyclists.
My design is rail based as it is the most energy efficient and environmentally considerate form of transport today and, I believe, also in the future. The rail based system, at the same time, provides a stable and secure environment for the users of the city, where the small driverless vehicles will be linked electronically in small groupings to create easier crossing possibilities for pedestrians and bicyclists.

I have during my recent years at the Design school found myself focusing on Mobility, Transport and Strategic design, most often as a combination.
