Catherine Descure
Danmarks Designskole — Glass Design 2007-2009
Graduation project
RatBatCat rolling shadow puzzles.
How do I create design objects that combine new and old technology? Playful objects that tell an odd, poetic and absurd story, part of my identity.
The process combined my skills and dreams, i.e. hand drawn sketches, 2D and 3D programs, glass and collaboration with companies, in order to use my childish ideal as an added market value.
While you are having breakfast, chopping vegetables, talking on the phone, showing the world to your child, BatRatCat is waiting in the shade and suggests a dreamy break. When you roll it in the sun, its special decoration creates shadows and tells poetic secrets...
Interests
Bringing poetic emotions to daily life.
