How to apply to The School of Design
Language requirements
The School of Design accepts new students to our three-year BA-programme once a year. The programme is taught in Danish and therefore all students must be proficient in Danish both orally and in writing. International applicants must have passed the Danish language test, Studieprøve i dansk som fremmedsprog for voksne udlændinge” (called Studieprøven) before applying.
Applicants from the Nordic countries with Danish, Norwegian or Swedish included in their qualifying examination are not required to pass Studieprøven.
Studieprøven
Studieprøven consists of two oral and two written examinations. All four examinations must be passed with at least grade 2.
Studieprøven is held twice a year in May/June and November/December. You can take the test at Studieskolen in Copenhagen or one of the examination-approved language centres.
With you application you must enclose documentation stating that you have passed "Studieprøven". You must have passed the language proficiency test when you apply for admission or document that you have signed up for “Studieprøven” and will take the test in the May/June 2012. If you take the test in May/June 2012, you must submit your certificate before July 5, 2011 at 12 pm.

Tuition fees
Students from non EU/EEA countries are required to pay a tuition fee. The tuition fee is 9600 € per academic year.
There is no tuition fee for students from EU/EEA countries or students who have a permanent residence permit in Denmark or a temporary permit with possibility of obtaining permanent residence in Denmark.
